Light & Shadows
Does anyone have any advice on and/or methods of shading and adding light/glare? The colouring I'm doing now isn't overly shoddy, but I could be doing better, and I'd like to work with more dynamic light schemes. (Obviously, the best tool will be practice. :D)

PhotoShop 101: Dynamic Lines
I know a number of people who are quite good at PhotoShop but don't know how to use paths, so I thought I'd whip up a "quickie" tutorial while working on a longer one.

Photoshop Painting Techniques
These three tutorial videos are long, silent, and take quite some time to download, but hoo boy... if you are into painting images from scratch in Photoshop, they are well worth the wait. It's best to right-click on the "Download it Now!" links and save the files to your hard drive, rather than try and watch them in your browser, which will probably just gobble up system resources and lock things up, unless your system is pristine, flawless, and error-free, like most computers are.

Hong Ly Face Modeling and Figure Drawing Workshops
Not exactly a full tutorial, this large (1500px x 1875px) single image shows the process of illustrating a woman's face using a paint program.

Hong Ly and other artists also host online figure drawing workshops, several of which are linked here [NSFW, since they involve naked peoples].

Polykarbon Tutorials
Polykarbon has some nice little tutorials for drawing anime / manga characters. There's also some tutorials for Photoshop effects such as using displacement maps to "wrap" a two-dimensional pattern around a drawn object to create a three-dimensional effect, metal effects, and fake zip-a-tone.
